Geoff Installed as Master of Southport Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 473
   
Retired company Director Geoff Jackson was installed into the chair of Adoniram at the installation meeting of Southport Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 473 held at Southport Masonic Hal on Thursday 5th March 2015.
 
After the opening of the lodge by W.M. Colin Jenkins and the general business being completed the DC Chris Hamilton informed Colin that the representative Geoffrey Michael Bury, was outside the lodge and requesting admission. Colin responded that the lodge would be very happy to receive him. Geoffrey was then admitted accompanied by Brian Molyneux (The Provincial Grand Masters special representative), David Karsa, Maurice Evans, Colin Ryan, John Ryan, Ray Wilkinson, and William Cropper.

The master elect Geoff, who joined Mark Masonry on the 6th January 2005 was then presented by Chris Hamilton, (his seconder).
 
The installing officers were, Bill Fawley: Inner Guard, David Karsa: SW and Leon Sharples: JW.
 
Following the installation inner working and after the brethren were readmitted the Tools were presented by the Installing Master. The Keystone Jewel presented by John Ryan. The addresses were delivered by: Maurice Evans to the Master, The Wardens by David Karsa, Overseers by Neil Latham and the brethren by Geoffrey Bury.
 
After the ceremony Geoffrey brought greetings from the Provincial Grand Master Peter Connolly and congratulated Geoff on being installed in the master’s chair. He also congratulated Colin and the officers who took part in a very enjoyable ceremony.
 
The Master then presented Geoffrey with three Cheques totaling £450 in favor of Southport Masonic Hall Foundation (£150), Queenscourt Hospice (£150), and the West Lancs Mark Charity (£150).
 
After the ceremony the festive board was attended by over 43 brethren who all enjoyed an excellent meal. In his response to the toast to the grand officers Geoffrey thanked the members of the lodge for their kind hospitality and said how much he had enjoyed the ceremony.
 
Geoff then thanked all the brethren who had attended and took part in the ceremony and announced that the collection had raised £107.06 and the raffle raised £171.
